Description: It was Christmas time and I painted this thinking about war that is currently going on in Ukraine and the genocide that is happening in Gaza. (There is a Gazian piece as a WIP for New Years). Ukraine has been now been defending itself for over a thousand days, Ireland has taken in many refugees. Some Irish have been arms open welcoming, some have not and some have been in the middle. What ever people’s beliefs are, migration, especially in times of heart ache, should always be welcome. We can still be proud of culture, hertitage and growth from all regions of the world, but who really owns the earth? what is a boarder? and why can’t we have one love between all peoples. All I can see is governments and powers dividing us, with blame, rhetoric and greed.
