Description: A piece of subject matter in nature that is deconstructed into various forms of data ilustrations surrounding that subject matter and then reconstructed in a collage of multiple images on one sheet. The illustrations are created on the computer and then drawn with a homemade xy plotter. The plotter consists of a Raspberry Pi 3, single stepping motors and a belt. The Pen is a white marker pen and draws on black card.
Not only are Moths one of the most important pollinators, moths and their caterpillars are important food items for many other species, including amphibians, small mammals, bats and many bird species. Moth caterpillars are especially important for feeding young chicks, including those of most familiar garden birds such as the Blue Tit and Great Tit, Robin, Wren and Blackbird.
